Fibromyalgia is a condition of the central nervous system that causes widespread pain and extreme sensitivity to painful stimuli. It occurs in nearly 5 million Americans over the age of 18.* Causes of fibromyalgia can be gradual, but can also occur after traumatic events, repetitive injuries, illness, and certain diseases. Those living with fibromyalgia find it hard to accomplish relief of their pain.*
There was a study published in “The Journal of Alternative and Complimentary Medicine” that tested the effects of certain tones on fibromyalgia patients who sought relief. 120 participants used various methods to decrease their fibromyalgia pain, including the use of isolated frequencies and frequencies accompanied by classical music such as Bach’s works. The results of this study were extremely positive. It was concluded that the use of frequencies and vibrations proved successful in reducing the participants’’ fibromyalgia pain. It was also very effective when the frequencies were accompanied by the musical compositions of Bach.*
